USA – Top Kart in Phoenix for the first round of the SKUSA Pro Tour

After winning the Gatorz Challenge of America’s Rotax Senior Championship, Team Top Kart is heading to Phoenix for the opening round of the SKUSA Pro Tour. The team will have five drivers on hand each looking to kick the series off with a win.

In Tag Senior Phil De La O Jr. will be looking to carry the momentum from winning the Gatorz Championship again driving the New 2012 Top Kart Twister Chassis. With both Phil’s primary tuners Ariel Castro & Wes Boswell having other commitments and the decision to race came after the COA event “I am really looking forward to driving the New Top Kart Twister chassis again; we had great success with it in Rotax with Mojo tires now I am hoping for the same results with the SKUSA Whites.” stated Phil De La O Jr.

The 2011 Pro Kart Challenge North Champion, Austin Elliot is returning and planning a full assault on the Pro Tour. “I have seen Austin mature so much as I driver that last few months under his guidance of Wesley Boswell, I expect he will challenge for championship in the Pro Tour this year” stated Michael Tetreault.

Also competing is Michael England who is a local PKRA driver and has also competed in the Pro Kart Challenge South Events will look to use his knowledge of the track to his advantage in his efforts to fight for a podium. All three drivers will be using P1 engines to power their Tag Senior machines.

Sonny Cervelli will be running with Kartel Motorsports in the Tag Junior category. Look for Sonny at the top of the time sheets all weekend with his Magnum Leopard powered Flash. Sonny took this same kart to a win at the opening round of the WKA West Championship in KPV.

Team PKS Top Kart pilot Hunter Corbitt will be representing the team in Tag Cadet with his P1 powered Blue Eagle Chassis. Hunter is planning to continue his winning ways of 2012 that he started in IKF competition with earlier this season.
